“I can see the life I want. I want my first move to be the right one.”
Then choose the first part you’ll live, and start it in your actual week.
Picturing it is the easy part. The first move toward it is this month’s work. Precision Realignment is one month of private work with James to choose your first move toward the life you want, and start making it.
A first move can be something you begin, something you stop, or a decision you start living by. We look at where your time really goes, choose the move, work out what stands in its way and what it has to protect, then test it for fourteen days in your ordinary life. Three private sessions, and a Realignment Report written personally for you.
Usually the move gives a real place in your week to something you want: your health, the trip that lives on a list called “soon”, a standing evening with your wife, work you still care about. In a full week, you have to create the space for it, and every subtraction hands back time, energy and attention.
Those are things to enjoy while you have the health and the energy for them, and the years that give you both don’t wait for a quieter quarter.
In a month, the work can look like this. You cut one commitment back and give the time it frees to something you want more of. Or you renegotiate a responsibility with the person who shares it. If your week already has the space, it’s the move you’ve been weighing, started on purpose. Sometimes it’s a commitment you look at hard and decide to keep. Whichever it is, you test it for fourteen days before anything larger changes.
When I created space in my own life in 2019, what it gave me first wasn’t a plan. It was the freedom to choose: room to decide what my future would look like. Every chapter since started there. Ten months in Thailand. Spanish school in Medellín. And in April 2023, in Medellín, I met my wife, Ana Milena.
That’s what the space is for.
Often what stands in the way is one of these:
Each is a form of Inherited Momentum, and none of it expires on its own. Left where it is, it carries straight into next year’s calendar.
For some men it’s none of these. The space is already there, and what’s in the way is a conversation still to have, a transition that takes time, or simply the risk of getting it wrong.
The question this month answers: What’s my first move toward the life I want?
Here’s the part that usually goes unsaid. For some men, the hesitation isn’t about the commitment at all. It’s the question underneath it: if I change the life I built, do I lose the man who built it?
Take that question seriously. It’s why a focused Continuity Check, drawn from The Continuity Method®, names what must stay true before the change touches anything: the relationship behind a commitment, the part of a role worth keeping. The first test is deliberate, bounded, and small on purpose.
Graduation, not erasure.
Whatever you set down or take up, the man who built this life comes with you.
Not therapy. Not hustle culture. Not a mastermind. The difference is in how the month works:
No daily check-ins, no busywork. It’s built for the analytical man who wants evidence from his own week, not more theory.
The life you want two years from now, then a read of your life across the Five Domains: Meaning, Time, Freedom, Vitality and Connection. Where would one move help most?
Name the pattern. Choose your first move, what stands in its way, what it must protect, and how you’ll tell whether it helps.
Make the move in your normal life and keep a brief record of what happens.
James’s written account of your situation, the pattern, the move you’re making and the signs that would show it’s taking hold, delivered within five business days after Synthesis, while the test is underway.
Read the evidence together and decide what to continue, adjust, or reconsider.
Your first move isn’t the biggest change you could make. It’s the one most ready to tell the truth.
That’s what James looks for: a move with clear edges, one you can see working or not within two weeks, and one that’s fair to the people it touches. Start there and the evidence holds up.

James asks about what matters to you, where your time and energy go, and what you’d like to be different.
You look at the pattern together, choose your first move, set its limits, and decide what to watch during the fourteen days that follow.
You make the move inside your normal life. Your personally written Report arrives within five business days after Synthesis, while the test is underway. There’s one check-in around the middle of the test. Between sessions, support is limited to brief responses to questions or concerns about the agreed test; it doesn’t include additional scheduled coaching or daily accountability.
You read the evidence together: what worked, what didn’t, and what needs more time. You leave with a specific next step and a date for taking it.
A Discovery session runs about seventy-five minutes, and most of it is you talking and James listening. No slides. No framework thrown at you.
He’s listening for what sits underneath the first answers. He’ll name the connections he hears between things you’ve described separately, and test his read with you. At some point the conversation usually goes quiet. That’s often where the real subject is.
It’s also why the Report he writes afterward sounds like you, not like a template.
I built Precision Realignment for the man who wants to change one part of his life properly, with someone beside him while he tests it.
I learned firsthand that redesign doesn’t begin by piling something new onto a full life. It begins by telling the truth about what no longer fits.
I spent nearly 25 years as a U.S. military officer and helicopter pilot, where a small signal ignored became an expensive problem. Then I began redesigning my own life.
This is The Subtraction Method®, run on the part of your life that matters most right now, with me in the room. I’ll tell you plainly what I see, including when the change you arrive with isn’t the one I’d test first. The objective isn’t comfort. It’s one move, tested in the real world, so you can see what the evidence says next.
Direct enrollment through a 90-second readiness check. No formal application required.
James works with a small number of men at a time.
The 72-Hour Cooling-Off Window. If you decide this isn’t the right fit, request a full refund by email within 72 hours of purchase, provided your Discovery Session hasn’t been completed. The window closes at whichever happens first; after that, the engagement is non-refundable.
The Show-Up Guarantee. This is a service commitment, not a money-back guarantee. Attend all three sessions (a session rescheduled under the scheduling terms still counts), complete any assigned pre-work by the relevant session deadlines, take part fully, and ask by email within seven calendar days of your final scheduled session. If you believe the engagement didn’t provide meaningful clarity and a practical first move, you receive one additional 60-minute private session at no cost, or comparable support such as written feedback where James judges it would serve you better. It is a one-time extension, not a refund, and it does not guarantee a specific outcome. Full terms.

Precision Realignment is complete in itself, with no requirement to buy anything after it. One move can give you enough direction to keep building on your own.
Sometimes it shows you want something larger: a wider redesign. If it does, your Report becomes the natural starting point for Authorship by Design™: twelve private sessions across sixteen weeks, where the work shifts from testing one move to designing the whole next chapter.
If one part of the life you want could start this month, which part would you choose?
No. You complete a short readiness check before purchasing. Authorship by Design has a separate application process.
No. The readiness check is six short questions. If your answers point to another place to start, it shows you where, and the choice is still yours.
You receive a purchase confirmation with your 72-hour cooling-off window and a short five-question intake form. After you complete the intake, its confirmation page gives you the link to book Discovery. The scheduling target is within five business days of purchase, from the available appointment times. James reads your intake before you meet.
On Zoom, one to one with James. Choose somewhere private where you can be uninterrupted for the full session.
Three sessions of 75, 60, and 60 minutes across one month. Before Discovery, complete the five-question intake; the workbook’s preparation pages are optional. The fourteen-day test takes place in your existing life, with brief notes on what happens. Before Activation, review your notes and Report.
You don’t need to arrive with the move already chosen. Bring the part you’d most like to be living sooner, and a recent example of how your weeks actually run. Discovery helps you and James understand both; at Synthesis, you choose the move to test.
Then the month goes into making the move well rather than clearing the way for it. James checks that space against your actual calendar with you, and the fourteen-day test keeps the risk small while you see how the move works in practice.
Then that’s evidence too. You review what happened in Activation. A partial result or an unsuccessful test can point you to a smaller change, a different approach, or what you need to understand next.
Yes. James writes it personally from your Discovery and Synthesis sessions and the work you’ve done together. No templates.
Realignment is one month on your first move. Authorship by Design is sixteen weeks designing the whole next chapter, by application. If you’re unsure, book a 15-Minute Fit Call and James will tell you plainly which fits, including if neither does yet.
Let James know as soon as you can. A session rescheduled under the scheduling terms still counts toward the Show-Up Guarantee.
Yes, in full, if you ask by email within 72 hours of purchase and your Discovery Session hasn’t been completed. The window closes at whichever happens first. After that the engagement is non-refundable, and the Show-Up Guarantee is the commitment instead. Full terms are in the Refund Policy.
What you share in private sessions is treated with professional care and kept confidential, within the limits set out in the Terms.
No. This is private coaching to help you evaluate and make a change in your life. It is not clinical care.
